About the Department of Science Humanities
The Department of Science and Humanities combination of teaching faculties from-
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Mathematics
- English
- Commerce (Accountancy & Management)
- Economics disciplines.
All the disciplines in the department exist as a separate division and maintain individual identities. The department regularly organizes workshops, symposia, and conferences in new emerging areas for the benefit of the students. The Humanities department offers projects on life skills, courses on personality development, and Entrepreneurship Development Courses in association with IIE Guwahati, DIC, and NITCO for OUTCOME BASED EDUCATION and VALUE BASED EDUCATION. The department also supervises student activities (sports & cultural, literary) with an aim to attract students for diploma engineers from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds. The department is committed to providing quality instruction that empowers students to become confident in facing personal and professional life challenges. Apart from this, the department supervises projects useful and beneficial for the people of nearby villages.
