About Department of Computer Engineering

 The Department of Computer Engineering at the Nowgong Polytechnic, Nagaon, Assam was formed in the year 1991 and provides an outstanding environment complemented by excellence in teaching.

The Department offers Diploma in Computer Engineering. The curriculum of the department is as per AICTE norms. This department has an intake capacity of 30 students. The Department has a comprehensive curriculum on topics related to all fundamental aspects of Computer Hardware and Software with an emphasis on practical learning. The course structure is updated time to time and includes courses on nascent topics to equip our students with the latest developments in Computer Engineering.

The Department has two Computer laboratories (for programming languages, database management system etc.), one Language laboratory and one Hardware & Networking laboratory. The department has a server and nodes to create to the programming needs of the students.

Our faculty members aim at delivering top class education inside the classroom. The Department has also incorporated with advanced and smart classrooms.

To provide an Industry oriented Computer education so that the students may be capable of serving the industry skilfully, of doing research activities, of being entrepreneurship and of pursuing lifelong learning.
