About Department of Electrical Engineering

The department of Electrical Engineering is one of the major department of NOWGONG POLYTECHNIC. The department runs 3 Years Diploma course in Electrical Engineering stream. Students passing from the department get absorbed in the State Electricity Board of Assam, various govt departments and industrial & co-operate houses. Some also opt for higher studies in the Engineering colleges in Assam.

            At present, there are four faculty members, one part time faculty and one senior instructor in the department.

            The department has four laboratories. Apart from regular academic activities, electrical Engineering department has already imparted self employment training such as Motor winding, House wiring, Battery repairing, T.V. stabilizer repairing etc. Moreover Electrical  Engineering Department has also run the training course on House wiring sponsored by the K.K HENDIQUE OPEN UNIVERISTY from time to time.

M2: Provide ambience for professional growth and lifelong learning for adapting to the challenges in changing technology. 

M3: Inculcate social and ethical values and environmental awareness. 

M4: Nurture interpersonal and entrepreneurial skills so as to develop leadership qualities.
